Complete the application process, submit the required documents and arrange payment for your selected qualification.

Step 3 - Complete Your Requirements

Work through the knowledge, practical, workplace or RPL requirements that apply to your chosen route, with guidance and support along the way.

Step 4 - Assessment and Next Steps

Complete the required assessments and certification process, followed by the relevant PPRA, PDE or QCTO examination steps for your qualification route.

Questions About Your Real Estate Qualification?

Real estate qualification requirements can differ according to your experience and intended career path. These answers provide general guidance, but we recommend speaking to Joan before applying.

The appropriate route depends on your existing real estate experience, current role and career goals. Joan will discuss your circumstances with you and help you understand whether RPL, the NQF4 Internship or the NQF5 Principal Estate Agent qualification is the most suitable option.

Recognition of Prior Learning, commonly called RPL, allows eligible learners to demonstrate knowledge and competence gained through previous work and industry experience. It can provide a shorter route to the NQF4 qualification for experienced property practitioners who meet the requirements.

Both routes lead towards the Further Education and Training Certificate: Real Estate. RPL recognises existing knowledge and experience, while the Internship route provides more comprehensive learning and training for learners who do not yet meet the RPL requirements.

The NQF5 Higher Occupational Certificate: Principal Estate Agent is intended for property practitioners progressing towards principal status. The QCTO pathway includes knowledge, practical and workplace requirements, as well as a final examination.

Services SETA and QCTO represent different qualification pathways, each with its own requirements, assessments and certification processes. The most suitable pathway will depend on the qualification you require and the options currently available to you.

Completion times vary according to the selected qualification, your existing experience and how quickly you complete the required assessments and workplace activities. Joan will explain the expected timeframe for your chosen route before you register.

Flexible payment arrangements are available for selected qualifications. The payment period and instalment amounts will be confirmed before registration.

External examination, regulatory or certification fees may be charged separately from Quantum’s qualification fee. You will receive a clear explanation of the applicable course and external costs before making payment.

Selected NQF4 learners may benefit from referral scholarship opportunities, while learners who complete certain qualifications within the stipulated period may qualify for a completion reward. Eligibility requirements and terms apply, so please ask Joan for the current offer details.

The required documents depend on your qualification route and previous experience. After your initial discussion, Joan will provide a list of the documents and evidence needed for your application.

Depending on your qualification pathway and the current regulatory requirements, additional PPRA registration or Professional Designation Examination steps may apply. Quantum will explain the relevant next steps for your route.
